Terror attack in Kabul – German aid worker murdered
Last Saturday evening (January 20) terrorists attacked the Kabul Hotel Intercontinental. There were dead and injured. We are shocked and affected.
Brigitte W., a long-time friend of ours, was also killed in this inhuman attack. Although she was not an employee of Shelter Now, we knew each other for many years, and even sporadically worked on joint projects.
Brigitte had dedicated her whole life to the poor people of Afghanistan, especially the children. She had already begun this work in the eighties. She has raised donations and in addition has used a lot of personally savings in the projects of her organization “Cabilla”. Unafraid, she traveled to hard-to-reach areas of Afghanistan to help many people in need.
She was a heroine and we will miss her.
